About Us
We are film makers who want to use our skills to make a difference whether that means creating social and environmental films, collaborating with global partners, providing production training when possible, or, raising funds for causes we believe in. As we have past connections with Africa, it was instinctively our first place to start. We would like to capture people’s aspirations to improve lives, protect their environment and live harmoniously with nature.
To help reduce our carbon footprint we have begun planting trees (with the Rwenzori Founders, Uganda) and when you support our Kickstarter, you too can have trees planted in your name.
We would also like to use this platform to celebrate our production partners and participants with space to share their stories and campaigns. In the interests of building a community for social and environmental filmmaking we invite you to subscribe to be the first to receive our joint newsletters, blogs and partner contributions/news.
Please share our campaigns and partner crowd funds and let us know what you think. THANK YOU.
WALK TALL MEDIA was established by Jacqui Doughty in 2008. Over the years we have gained a good reputation and many repeat clients. Whatever size story we tell, from documentary to social media stings and everything in between, the narrative is key and we work very hard to get it right before a camera comes out of its case. In 2010 we were nominated for a BAFTA for our series set in South Africa. In 2012 we made a 16 part series for the BBC in China. Learning about other cultures and traditions around the world is just one of the reasons we love our jobs
DISTANT OBJECT PRODUCTIONS was co-founded by Zuleika Kingdon and Martin Briggs-Watson in 2006. Distant Object have a large client base and produce a range of video projects that include live event filming, corporate web videos, and educational, health, and cultural productions for diverse organizations and individuals both at home and abroad. We love what we do and have won awards for our short films and documentaries. We enjoy collaboration and have a solid partnership for streaming events with First Sight Media and are now delighted to be partnering with Walk Tall Media and Talking Film Production Uganda, with whom we look forward to making more environmental productions.

She later free-lanced as camera-director and editor and produced her own films for numerous NGOs, educational bodies and the BBC. With Distant Object Productions Ltd founded in 2006 she was the VIDEOMED 2010 heart disease category winner for their documentary “Understanding Hypertension.” and won a festival Best UK documentary award for Rock Music Rock Art filmed in Uganda. Her BBC documentary To Bring a Smile (2001) Isis to the Nile (British Council) was also filmed in Uganda - a country close to her heart having been born and partly raised in Kampala.

The Rwenzori Founders dream of saving Pangolins and other endangered species in Uganda. They have created a mini forest sanctuary, a gallery and sculpture foundry and are helping build a hospital.
